My research explores microbe and metabolite mediated health outcomes with significance to global nutrition solutions. My scientific training includes the fields of biochemistry, molecular biology, food science, and nutrition, as well as the application to the food-energy-water nexus. In my PhD at Colorado State University, I am applying my experience in nutrition and biochemistry to research on the host associated microbiota-metabolic responses to nutrient dense foods and associated health outcomes. I am passionate about international health research with specific relevance to gut modulated infant nutrition and providing global access to nutrient dense foods.
