Lisa Poirier, MHS, is a researcher with expertise in food systems, including intervention implementation and evaluation. My research interests center around food and nutrition security and the monitoring and surveillance of health outcomes, food assistance programs in underserved U.S. populations and the nexus of climate change and nutrition. Her primary work for the past eight years has been the coordination and evaluation of environmental and behavior-change trials to improve diet and reduce risk for obesity and diabetes in low income ethnic minority communities. She is currently a Research Associate II at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Department of International Health, Program in Human Nutrition.
