Dr. Mopelola Adeyemo is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Clinical Nutrition within the Department of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles. She obtained a Master's in Public Health with a specialization in biostatistics and epidemiology from the University of Southern California. Dr. Adeyemo completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of California, Riverside. She then pursued her fellowship training in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at the University of California, Davis, followed by a fellowship in Clinical Nutrition at the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Adeyemo's clinical focus is on the treatment and prevention of obesity and related cardiometabolic diseases. Her research interests include the prevention and treatment of cardiometabolic diseases including obesity and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease through lifestyle intervention, as well as addressing health disparities among underrepresented groups. She is a co-investigator for a multi-site Teaching Kitchen study and a trial aimed at increasing the inclusion of diverse communities in nutrition clinical trials.
