I am a Clinical Nutritionist and Environmental epidemiologist who focuses on epidemiologic studies, specifically cohort studies. I hold a full-time professor position, and I am the nutrition clinic coordinator at Iberoamericana University, Mexico. My research includes two main areas: the first one is related to the effects of environmental toxicants (ie: lead, mercury, phthalates, BPA) and their interaction with nutrition factors over children´s health (neurodevelopment and growth). The second branch is focused on dietary patterns and the development of obesity and other metabolic diseases. I also have clinical experience as nutritionist, and I have been coordinating fieldwork of epidemiologic studies.
