I am Leila Setayesh, a PhD student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. My primary research focuses on milk extracellular vesicles, examining their stability during processing, their genetic content cargo, and their effects on gut bacteria in infants. In response to the increasing use of frozen milk, my work has successfully optimized storage protocols, significantly reducing the loss of milk extracellular vesicles during storage.
