Dr. Damian-Medina is a postdoctoral researcher in the Smilowitz research group within the Department of Nutrition at the University of California Davis. She holds PhD in Biotechnology and Innovation and is passionate about discovering how plant/food bioactive compounds exert their health benefits. Currently, her research primarily focuses on evaluating the relationships between complex dietary fibers, biomarkers of diet, and the gut microbiome in diverse populations.
