Harper is a first-year MS student and research assistant for the John Erdman Lab in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition with a Dietetics concentration and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Miami University in Oxford, OH in May 2023. Her research primarily examines the impact of vitamin E status on brain fatty acid composition and oxidative stress using the alpha-tocopherol transfer protein null mouse model. She intends to complete her dietetic internship following her MS studies in order to become a Registered Dietitian and practice dietetics in the clinical setting.
