PhD Student
University of Milan, Italy
My name is Marco Rendine, and I am a biologist and nutritionist with a passion for nutrition and wellness. I began my academic journey in 2016 at the University of Camerino, earning a bachelor's degree in Biology of Nutrition in December 2019. I then pursued a master's degree in Biological Sciences with a focus on Nutrition and Functional Foods, graduating cum laude in February 2022.
Driven by my interest in scientific research, I pursued a Ph.D. in Nutrition Sciences at the University of Milan, starting in October 2022 with a scholarship. My doctoral research focuses on advancing our understanding of dietary interventions for improving cardiovascular health, identifying involved molecular mechanisms, and translating research findings into practical recommendations for public health promotion.
Additionally, since February 2023, I have been a registered member of the Order of Biologists of Lombardy, working as a professional nutritionist specializing in sports and clinical nutrition, particularly gastrointestinal issues.
I am a member of the Italian Society of Human Nutrition (SINU) and its Youth Group, where I actively engage in scientific communication in the field of nutrition. I am also a member of the American Society for Nutrition (ASN), contributing to the global dissemination of nutrition science knowledge.
