Manoela Lima Oliveira, MS, RDN, LDN is a PhD Candidate with the Department of Kinesiology and Nutrition at the University of Illinois, Chicago. Manoela's dissertation work is investigating the relationship between modifiable risk factors associated with Early-Onset Colorectal cancer development. Specifically, she is investigating the impact that obesity and chronic psychosocial stress has on weight, serum cortisol, microbiome and gut inflammation. She is interested in the interplay between diet, environmental stressors and its impact in the gut microobiome among young adullts.
