BROOKINGS, South Dakota, United States
I am an Assistant Professor at the School of Health and Human Sciences at the South Dakota State University. My research includes understanding the impact of dietary modulation on human health from the perspective of host metabolome, intestinal microbiome, and host-microbiota co-metabolism. My research focuses on integrating multi-omics data with dietary insights, where algorithms and multivariate machine-learning techniques are utilized to model and identify early physiological changes. My lab uses controlled-feeding randomized controlled trials, statistical modeling of existing epidemiological data, and the use of machine learning tools to provide novel insight to improve dietary recommendations to usher us into the era of precision nutrition.
