Brandon McGuire is a PhD Candidate at Rutgers University. His current research focuses on the intersection between temporal eating patterns, the gut microbiota, and bone in older women with overweight or obesity. His previous work includes examining the effects of vertebral abnormalities on lumbar spine bone mineral density in older women and vitamin D deficiency and alcohol intake on bone and the gut microbiota in mature female mice. Before beginning his doctoral degree, Brandon worked as a Nutritionist for the federally funded Women, Infants, and Children program.
