Dr. Hanim Ecem Diktas is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center. Her research focuses on technology-based tools in order to examine the effects of contextual factors on children's intake in real time. She holds bachelor's and master's degrees in Nutrition and Dietetics from Istanbul Medipol University. She earned her doctoral degree in Nutritional Sciences at the Pennsylvania State University, where she conducted a series of controlled feeding studies examining the effect of food characteristics on portion selection and consumption in children. Her long-term research objectives include the development of Just-in-Time Adaptive Interventions that provide personalized feedback to promote healthy eating and prevent childhood obesity.
