I completed my training in Biological Sciences at Michigan Technological University before pursuing graduate studies in Applied Genomics at the University of Connecticut and Neurobiology at the University of Basel and Friedrich Miescher Institute (Basel, Switzerland). I am interested in the -omics and integrative physiology of stress and exercise. My long term goal is to integrate my molecular and behavioral background with immunology and metabolomic approaches to map mechanisms of, and develop interventions to mitigate negative affects of heat and exercise associated stress. .
