Edwina Wambogo, Ph.D., M.Sc., M.P.H., R.D., is a Health Scientist Administrator in the Office of Dietary Supplements (ODS), in the Division of Program Coordination, Planning, and Strategic Initiatives (DPCPSI) of the Office of the NIH Director. Before joining ODS, Dr. Wambogo worked as a Nutritional Epidemiologist in the Division of National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys (NHANES) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Center for Health Statistics.
Dr. Wambogo's responsibilities at ODS include overseeing the Computer Access to Research on Dietary Supplements (CARDS) database and serving as part of program management for other Special Interest Databases. She also serves as part of the ODS liaison for the Self-Administered 24-Hour Dietary Assessment Tool (ASA24) and NHANES. Her research focuses on dietary assessment, evaluating dietary patterns, child nutrition, and nutrition in aging, using data from health surveys and epidemiological studies. She earned her Ph.D. in Nutrition and her M.P.H. in Community Health Education from the University of Maryland, College Park, and is a registered dietitian.
