Marian Winters is a rising senior at the University of South Carolina Honors College, majoring in Public Health with a minor in Law and Society. She has been working as an undergraduate research assistant in the Health Promotion, Education, and Behavior Department at the Arnold School of Public Health under the mentorship of Dr. Edward Frongillo for the past two years. Her research focuses primarily on global nutrition and food insecurity. Marian also previously served as a nutrition security intern with the U.S. Department of Agriculture at the National Institute of Food and Agriculture under the mentorship of Dr. Sheila Fleischhacker. She is passionate about advancing nutrition security and improving food and nutrition policies and programs.
