Kelly Naranjo is a cross-disciplinary scholar and researcher with a dual background in Biology and Bioethics. She joined the non-profit world, specifically the Food and Medical Nutrition Therapy organization God’s Love We Deliver, after a career in academic medicine, managing sponsored clinical research and population studies. Kelly is using this experience to spearhead the creation of a research framework across the Food is Medicine Coalition, of which Kelly serves as the Research Chair. In her role, Kelly has fostered various academic partnerships centered on generating support for Food is Medicine interventions with investigators who share a common goal of addressing health equity through strategic community partnerships. Kelly’s research pillars are centered on a Bioethical lens, prioritizing research questions arising with our clients, client-centered research, and inclusive, collaborative frameworks. Kelly is working on various research projects funded by the American Heart Association, The Batty Family Foundation, Rutgers University, and the National Institutes of Health.
