Graduate Student Research Assistant
Purdue University
As a nutrition graduate researcher, I work at the intersection of functional foods and dietary patterns for health promotion. Our lab has done work on healthy eating patterns, such as the Mediterranean style, on various health outcomes including cardiometabolic, immune function, and inflammation. My research topic focuses on functional food consumption, such as edible mushrooms, effects on measures of immune function and inflammation. Through conducting RCTs, publishing manuscripts, and engaging in presentations, I am dedicated to advancing evidence-based nutrition therapy and the Food is Medicine initiative.
