Jordie is currently a Senior Research Associate at Sight and Life Foundation. Jordie graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Nutrition and Nutraceutical Sciences and International Development at the University of Guelph, where she developed a passion for the intersection of global health, nutrition, and food security. She then completed a Master of Science in Nutrition at the University of British Columbia, where she studied the effects of iron supplementation on iron status and gut inflammation in predominately non-anemic, non-pregnant women living in rural Cambodia. More recently, she worked as the research coordinator at the Rural Health Services Research Network of BC, investigating and addressing issues relevant to equitable health provision in rural communities. Jordie is driven by a passion for health equity and nutrition science translation.
