Simone Varrasi is a Psychologist and Psychotherapist. After a Bachelor's Degree (BSPsy) and a Master's Degree (MSPsy) in Psychology, he furthered his education by completing a Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD). He gained research experience abroad in the field of human-robot interaction, and specifically on the use of new technologies for the psychometric assessment of older adults, and he is currently conducting studies on cognitive impairment within a PhD programme at the University of Catania. In the same institution, he is Academic Expert in General Psychology and Psychometrics, and he taught Developmental Psychology. His research interests are focused mainly on cognitive impairment, with special attention towards its risk factors, and on the use of Network Analysis for improving the clinical management of Depression. He is a member of national and international scientific associations, author of several publications in the field of experimental and cognitive psychology, and editor for impacted journals. Overall, his general goal is to build a research practice encompassing clinical and academic experience.
