Currently I am serving as Deputy Director at Bangladesh National Nutrition Council (BNNC) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, having more than 15 years of rich experience spanning across governmental and non-governmental arenas. I have been able to put my MPH earned with a fellowship from Royal Tropical Institute, Netherlands to good use. Over the years, my strengths at Ministry of Health have garnered some recognition and reputation in bringing the policies and strategies into action. My expertise lies in facilitating execution of Second National Plan of Action for Nutrition, focusing on establishing robust multisectoral nutrition governance, policies, strategies, social inclusivity, public health outcomes and monitoring. Having experience of working at all levels of government, my expertise lies in ensuring essential nutrition packages, universal health coverage, climate resilience agriculture, community support group and primary health care services. At BNNC, I lead the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Research Platform, driving initiatives such as online monitoring system development, formulation of operational research strategy, bottleneck analysis of nutrition sensitive programs, and investment appraisal for nutrition. Furthermore, I provide technical guidance for sub-national multisectoral nutrition planning and monitoring endeavours. I also provide technical support to SUN country focal point and possess comprehensive knowledge of SUN strategy, country priorities, and SUN MSP action plans. I excel in preparing country commitments for summits like N4G and crafting operational guidelines. Moreover, I have experience in urban food system transformations including establishment of agricultural and livestock value chains in urban areas and contributed largely in developing urban multisectoral nutrition strategies. I have extensive experience in working with donor-funded projects, UN agencies, and numerous international NGOs, enriching my understanding of global health and nutrition paradigms. I have had the privilege to represent my office at regional and international forums, engaging with diverse stakeholders including policymakers, UN agencies, and development partners, to foster dialogue and share insights within the broader health and nutrition community.
