Dr. Tobias is a nutrition and obesity epidemiologist at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. She also serves as Academic Editor for the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. Dr. Tobias received her doctorate in epidemiology and nutrition from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Boston, MA. Her research focuses on identifying lifestyle risk factors and underlying mechanisms related to obesity and its major chronic diseases, including type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. She contributes to the development and analyses of dietary patterns, metabolomics, and nutritional epidemiologic methods and is assistant professor at the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health. Dr. Tobias is also the PI of a NIH-funded randomized intervention study of sugary beverage substitutions for weight loss and cardiometabolic health.
