Heather Guetterman is a 5th year PhD candidate in Human Nutrition at Cornell University, working with Dr. Julia Finkelstein. Before starting the PhD program, she received a B.S. in Food Science and Human Nutrition at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and M.S. in Nutrition at Cornell University. Her research focuses on the role of vitamin B12 and other one-carbon micronutrients in the health of women of reproductive age in India using population-based data. She is interested in the intersection of nutrition and environmental exposures, maternal and child health, and evidence synthesis for informing public health programs and guidelines.
