Klaus Kraemer PhD is President of Sight and Life Foundation (https://sightandlife.org/), Basel, Switzerland, and Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of International Health of Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Baltimore, USA. Sight and Life Foundation is a non-profit research organization that works towards science-based innovative solutions to close the micronutrient, lipid, and protein gap in low- and middle-income countries, especially in women of reproductive age and children. Klaus is a global nutrition leader with over 30 years of experience in the private and non-profit sectors.
He serves multiple professional societies dedicated to nutrition, food systems, and implementation science, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Micronutrient Forum. He is a member of the Swiss Academy of Sciences’ Commission for Research Partnerships with Developing Countries, assumes several advisory functions, has co-edited 13 books, published over 170 scientific articles and numerous other publications, is editor of Sight and Life magazine, and he is the recipient of distinguished international honors.
