Brad Sutton received his PhD from the University of Michigan in Biomedical Engineering in 2003. He has been at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign since 2003, where he is currently a Professor of Bioengineering, Technical Director of the Biomedical Imaging Center, A Health Innovation Professor in the Carle Illinois College of Medicine, and a faculty affiliate in the Neuroscience Program and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He is a fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering and a senior fellow of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine. His research is in the development of neuroimaging methods, merging novel acquisition and image reconstruction approaches using magnetic resonance imaging. He has over 180 peer reviewed journal articles and 9 patents related to the development of novel ways to image structure and function of the brain.
