Selina Quibrantar is a dedicated Master's student at the Department of Nutritional Sciences, Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto (UofT), with vast experience in qualitative research methods and community engagement projects. Currently conducting research with the Feeding Kids, Nourishing Minds School-based Nutrition Research Initiative at the Joannah and Brian Lawson Centre for Child Nutrition at UofT, she aims to provide a comprehensive overview of school food programs in Canada. Her research focuses on identifying gaps in policies and guidelines related to equity indicators, such as housing status, employment, income, gender, race/ethnicity, and neighborhood. With an emphasis on equity, diversity, and inclusion, Selina's work aims to inform the design of a meaningful and sustainable national school food program. Her research interests include community nutrition, food insecurity, health equity, social determinants of health, and public health policy. Through her dedication and expertise, Selina Quibrantar strives to contribute to improving the nutritional well-being of communities, particularly among vulnerable populations.
