Dr. Yan Ni serves as a professor at the National Clinical Research Center for Child Health, Children's
Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, and as a PhD supervisor in Epidemiology and
Biostatistics at Zhejiang University School of Public Health. During 2013 - 2017, she was an assistant
professor of Cancer Epidemiology Program and Metabolomics Shared Resources at the University of
Hawaii Cancer Center. She has been well trained in pharmaceutics and analytical chemistry, and
obtained Ph.D. degree in bioinformatics & computational biology in from the University of North
Carolina at Charlotte. She has over 15 years experience in mass spectrometry-based metabolomics
technology and its clinical applications. Her current research interests are: (1) the intricate interplay
between the gut microbiome and metabolome in gastrointestinal diseases; (2) develop bioinformatics
tools for gut microbiome and microbiome data integration analysis.
