Dr. Michelle Pecheck is a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist with a doctorate in Public Health (Preventive Care) from Loma Linda University. She is a Diplomat of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and holds Master's degrees in Nutrition & Policy (Tufts University) and Hospitality Management (Cal Poly-Pomona). She earned her Bachelor's degree in Nutrition & Dietetics from Loma Linda University, received her clinical nutrition training at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD, and commercial foodservice training at St. Regis Resort in Monarch Beach, CA. Dr Pecheck was selected as a Randall Lewis Health Policy Fellow and received both the Wil Alexander Whole Person Care Award and Rising Star recognition from Loma Linda University. She is a two-time Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholar who credits JKCF for making her educational aspirations possible.
Dr Pecheck is a faculty member of California State University-Long Beach. Her research interests include food insecurity, emotion-based eating and its associations with obesity and eating disorders, food system sustainability, foodservice management, and sanitation & clean water initiatives.
