Associate Professor
St John's Medical College, India
I am a practicing academic pediatric surgeon (Associate Professor of Pediatric Surgery at St John’s, India) and a Fellow of the Wellcome Trust-DBT Clinical Research Training Program. My personal interests are in the role that micronutrients have in conditions that I see in my practice, as well as the use of stable isotopic methods in clinical diagnosis. The role of nutrient-gene (vitamin A and RET) interactions in infants with Hirschsprung disease and impaired digestibility in children with pancreatitis are among my ongoing research interests. I'm the receipient of the WOFAPS Foundation Award for the year 2022 which is an international guest scholarship award to competent young pediatric surgeons (less than 40 years) from developing countries who have demonstrated strong interests in teaching and research.
